OpenStudy (sammypenguin):

There is a formula used in chemistry and physics that states that PV = nrt. Solve this formula for n.

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

by "solving for n" they mean that you effectuate the corresponding mathematical operations to isolate "n" on any side of the "=" sign.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You answer is n=PV/rt

OpenStudy (shamim):

Not r but it will b R

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@sammypenguin since @Lovelarap has so kindly given the whole answer without any explanation I am sure you could now demonstrate your learning by perhaps solving the same equation for R??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you take a number or letter to the other side, you do the opossite. So if your solving for r, your take nt to the other side and divide because it is multiplying. So r=PV/nt

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

Do not give out the answer... just guide through the solution of the problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Owlcoffee Yep, I figure. : |
