Choose the least common multiple of 8 and 5 A. 16 B. 25 C. 35 D. 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how to find the least common multiple?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do I really don't

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can find it by listing both numbers factors until you find two that are the same for each number. I think I said that right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is D but to find the least common multiple you need to find the lowest possible number that both 8 and 5 come to.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For A, only 8 comes to 16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For B, only five comes to 25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For C, only fice comes to 35

OpenStudy (anonymous):

five* sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but for D, both 8 and 5 come to 40. And this is the least common multiple (LCM) for these two numbers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You explained that much better than me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks @linksonic1 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol you don't need to thank me its the truth :)
