OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

wadda you need to do with this? lolya

@kayla254

OpenStudy (landon34):

i can go on an expression solver, and solve it for you.

I'm helping a new OpenStudier learn what the matemaatic section is. Posted the original in the OpenStudy feedback section.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

first of all add 80 to both sides: -np-80<60 -np<140 now for what do you need to solve for? n or p?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

sorry lolya

OpenStudy (kayla254):

i need to solve for n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kayla254, if you want to post the full original question, I'd be glad to help you with them.

OpenStudy (kayla254):

solve -np-80<60 for N

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

last thing we got is -np<140 now we divide both sides by p: -np/p<140/p -n<140/p now divide both sides by -1 and flip the sign < to > n?

OpenStudy (kayla254):

ok next question solve 2a-5d=30 for d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2a-5d=30 Subtract 2a from each side -5d=30-2a Divide both sides by -5 \[d=\frac{ 30-2a }{ -5 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could also be written:\[d=\frac{ 2a }{ 5 }-6\]
