OpenStudy (aldauphinais):

Which of the following has a slope of –3 and a y-intercept of –4? y = –3x + 4 y = –3x – 4 y = 3x + 4 y = 3x – 4

pooja195 (pooja195):

y=mx+b m=slope b=y intercept

OpenStudy (aldauphinais):

what?

pooja195 (pooja195):

That is slope inter step form we are given the slope -3 if m=-3 replace m in the equation with -3 y=mx+b now what do we have?

OpenStudy (aldauphinais):

oh i see now

pooja195 (pooja195):

Right :-) Try writing the whole equation now :)

OpenStudy (sparklyme):

The second one since the first part of it says "-3x", which is the slope. The second half says "-4", which is the y intercept.

pooja195 (pooja195):

Yes so y=-3x-4
