(FAN+MEDAL) If i have $600 to spend on food and a pound of hamburgers is $3 and a pound of hotdogs is $2, how many pounds of each can I buy with my $600?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

120 i think

OpenStudy (landon34):

do you want a straight answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you would have to use a system of equations to solve this

OpenStudy (lexber):

@Landon34 yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really it all depends on how much you want of each. If you want more hotdogs than hamburgers then you would use a different equation. But lets say that you want to spend $300 on hamburger and hotdogs. Then you would buy 100 lb. of hamburger and 150 lb. of hotdogs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do understand that this is a math problem! I just was going out of context. lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if 3x2=6 then u divide 6/600 and u get 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

😜
