Amanda's first four test scores are 77, 95, 84, and 69. What does Amanda need to score on the next test to have at least an 82 average?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Remember average is the mean And we know the mean is the sum of the scores divided by the number of scores So here, if we will have 5 scores...and we want to know the score needed on the 5th test to give an 82 average, we write \[\large \frac{77 + 95 + 84 + 69 + x}{5} = 82\] And solve for 'x'
