How did the Great Comprimise settle the issue of representation in the legislature? Help for medal.

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

The Great Compromise solved the issue of representation in the legislature by dividing Congress into two houses. The Senate and the House of Representatives. It settled it because the states were arguing over how they should have representation in Congress. The larger states wanted it based on population and the smaller states wanted the same number for each state. Thus, the Great Compromise. In the Senate each state has two representatives and in the House of Representatives representation is based on population.
