You don't create a chat room at the bottom of your screen there should be a little box that says mathematics and if you click on that the chat should appear :)

I very much doubt that you could create your own chat room here, given that there are chat rooms for various academic subjects. Have you tried on any of the currently available chat rooms for size (for their suitability)?
