Find the asymptote and determine the end behavior of the function from the graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The asymptote of the function is: A. X=2 B. X=-2 C. X=3 D. X=-3

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

What say you? Just read the graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For very high x-values, y: A. moves toward negative infinity B. moves toward the horizontal asymptote C. moves toward the vertical asymptote D. moves toward positive infinity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya the 1st one was a nobrainer sorry lol. not sure on the 2nd one though @tkhunny

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Yup. Do you have any reason to believe it will turn around and go back down?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Then assume it increases without bound. Sometimes, folks call this "goes to +\(\infty\)". Personally, I hate that language.
