2x+6−x=1/3(3x+18) Simplify both sides of the equation. 2x+6−x=1/3(3x+18) Simplify: (Show steps) x+6=x+6 Subtract x from both sides. x+6−x=x+6−x 6=6 Subtract 6 from both sides. 6−6=6−6 0=0 Answer: All real numbers are solutions.
