OpenStudy (anonymous):

The formula for rate of change is:\[=\frac{f(a)-f(b)}{a-b}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind tommynaiter should be able to help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Tommynaiter can u help walk me thorugh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you have to calculate the rate of change for them all in order to see which has the greatest.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, lets take a look at the rate of change for "B".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you insert in the formula: \[\frac{f(1)-f(2)}{1-2}\] \[f(1)=3*1-8=-5\] \[f(2)=3*2-8=-2\] \[\frac{-5-(-2)}{1-2}=\frac{-3}{-1}=3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So "B" has a rate of change which is 3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

blake has a rate of 3 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so blake account started with 3$

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Tommynaiter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It changes 3 every time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im sorry, I dont know who blake is, and does this have anything to do with dollars?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what question ru doing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

https://gyazo.com/80f3663e7fdd35bcfd03a3a8b588eb41

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooo i was on this one https://gyazo.com/bf283e9759b12bb4e5d46a3cf25c647b lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but on the one your talking bout am i right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your answer "A", has a rate of change of negative 5. \[Rate Of Change=-5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it B
