In three to five sentences explain how Ambrose Bierce's use foreshadowing or flashback influences "An occurrence at owl creek bridge."

did you read the story?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.. im watching a video on youtube right now

i suggest reading it; it will help lol. basically this guy is about to be hung, off a bridge, over a lake; by the soldiers of the north (he's in the south. or vise versa.) eventually the rope around his neck breaks & he starts to swim away, the soldiers that are on the bridge are shooting at him, eventually he escapes the water onto his feet & runs all day into the night. he can hear gunshots behind him. the only thing keeping him alive is the thoughts of his wife & kids. eventually he reaches his home & right when he is about to hug his wife & kids, he is shot in the back of the head. if you read the story, it says "he is hanging from owl creek bridge", thus saying that all of what happened, was all in his head

let me know if that helps you :)
