Can somebody help me with a few problems?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are they?

OpenStudy (keaganizaac):

1. Describe the graph of -1/3x < 7 2. Solve: Absolute value of (3x+4) = 7 3. Describe the graph of : Absolute value of (4x + 4) < 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, not to good with graphs.

OpenStudy (keaganizaac):

Can you help with #2?

OpenStudy (f_jayyy):

3x + 4 = 7 3x = 7 - 4 3x = 3 x = 3 thats for #2

OpenStudy (keaganizaac):

Can you help with the others?

OpenStudy (f_jayyy):

OpenStudy (keaganizaac):

OpenStudy (f_jayyy):

1) 1. Describe the graph of -1/3x < 7. That is how the graph looks. Now try and explain it :)

OpenStudy (keaganizaac):

Thank You!, I should have worded it better, I need help because my graphing calculator broke so I didn't have a way to graph it, could you graph #3 for me please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you know how to describe the graph :) ?

OpenStudy (keaganizaac):

Yes I do, I appreciate the help, thank you so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait, is 3) \[\left| (4x+4)<9 \right|\] ?

OpenStudy (keaganizaac):

No, the parentheses were the absolute value, <9 is outside the av

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Aight, forgot the absolute values. Let me just make a new

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (keaganizaac):

Is #1 the correct graph, it looked like it but I want to make sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is \[|4x+4|<9\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea, the first is correct :)

OpenStudy (keaganizaac):

Ok, thanks a bunch, Happy Holidays :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
