Ok bascially all you need to start with is subtracting 8x from both sides when you do this what do you get?

We subtract 8x to that we can isolate y
\[\huge~\rm~\bf~8x-8x + 6y = 12-8x \]
\[\huge~\rm~\bf~6y = 12-8x \]
We know that slope intercept form is y=mx+b

so we can easily arrange the numbers and actually there was an error in the arranging my fault.
6y=-8x+12
