Becca's family has 4 gallons of milk. They drink 5.8 gallon per day. How long will their milk last? A. 2 1.2 days B. 4 days C. 4 5.8 days D. 6 2.5 days
I don't want the direct answer I want it explained please.
Obviously your response has to have units "time." So, come up with a conversation factor. "5.8 gallons per day" sounds like a very large quantity. If the family now has only 4 gallons in the fridge, those 4 gallons won't last even 1 day. Are you sure you've copied the problem down correctly?
yes im sure its what k12 says
I have my doubts. But go ahead. The family drinks 5.8 gallons per day, and starts with four gallons. How many hours (in a 24 hour day) will their 4 gallons last?
This doesn't sound like a reasonable problem
pretty sure the . signifies a fraction please read your damn questions
I don't see how the . signifies a fraction. But just suppose "the family drinks 5/8 gallong of milk per day." How many days will the four gallons they have in the fridge last?
I'm going off of this " 2 1.2 days " 2 1.2 makes no sense, 2 1/2 does either way, I wish people would proofread what their questions say lol
Having a bad day, @bibby? Would you be so kind as not to use foul language here when things aren't going your way?
damn is foul language? I wasn't aware.
exactly, it's an exclamation of frustration, not a swear word -_-
The normal question for here is "Becca's family has 4 gallons of milk. They drink 5/8 gallons per day. How long will their milk last". Surely she just misspelled some "minor" things. There is no reason for going off on her mistakes, everyone makes them.
Thanks for the positive perspective.
please don't curse AND SORRY MY INTERNET KICKED ME OFF
So the real question is 4 gallons of milk, and Becca's family drink 5/8 gallons per day, okay?
"Makes me wonder why you think it's appropriate to criticize a learner for a spelling mistake and to ignore my request that y ou watch your language. What a disappointment." I didn't ignore anything.. Damn isn't a swear word. It's an exclamation. And even if it were, that was the only questionable comment I made. The rest of my comments were completely civil. Kinda pathetic that you'd blatantly lie in a suspention @mathmale
