Who would have the time to teach me the basics of Japanese? I want to learn it so bad but it is a very difficult language :(

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

Genki or kakehashi is a good place to start. also some beginners advice: drop romaji immediately after you mastered hiragana&katakana which should be done in the first week, then find some good grammar books and kanji books. DONT try to memorize Kanji alone, rather combine with grammar books which should give you plenty sample sentences to understand the usage of kanji. I assume you do not speak Chinese which means you have to learn how to write kanji. You can also look through syllabus of japanese courses at universities so that you know what materials to use

BTW, feel free to DM me if you have any questions
