write the standard form equation of a circle that passes through (-4,0) with center (-1,-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the distance formula to find the distance between the center and a point on the circle, as this would be the radius. \[\large \sf d=\sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^{2}+(y_{2}-y_{1})^{2}}\] and then use the info you have to plug into the standard form equation of a circle \[\large \sf For~center~(h,k)~and~radius~r\]\[\large \sf (x-h)^{2}+(y-k)^{2}=r^{2}\]
