OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

What is the area of the figure? Fan+Medal Assume all angles are right angles (image below) A.) 15,250 B.) 16,750 C.) 16,250 D.) 15,750

OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

One min getting image

OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

Pls halp.

OpenStudy (beautifulmystery.):

A I think

OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

why A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i took the information and separated two shapes as rectangle and square then solved the areas of both then added both to get the area of the problem...For the recatangle A = L x W which i had three recatangles so 3( L x W )... only part of the solution should equal 15,000 still must do the other square area to add to 15,000.

OpenStudy (beautifulmystery.):

I didn't just see 15000 tho

OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

It's 15k and some change but the question is: how much is that change?

OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

250 or 750?

OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

That's what i can't figure out

OpenStudy (beautifulmystery.):

thatss why I guessed A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not saying the answer is 1500 but if you take 100 x 50 = 5000 and multiply 3 of them which is 15000 for the rectangle. do the same to the square = 2( 25 x 25) then 15000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 15000

OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

15,750?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you gt 750 on the squares?

OpenStudy (jacobbirddog):

Did lxw and got that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what was your length and width?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the lengh and width of the square are both 25 since 100-75 was given as the width

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15000 + 1250
