Cells, since they have a selectively permeable membrane, only H20 can 'osmosis' through it. When water enters the cell due to a high concentration of solute inside, the cell can explode. When too much water leaves the cell due a low concentration of solute outside, the water will leave the cell, effectively wilting the cell
