OpenStudy (g33k):

i needed to edit this question :p

OpenStudy (welshfella):

x^4 - 41x^2 + 400 = 0 let x^2 = y y^2 - 41y + 400 = 0 you can solve this by factoring then use X = x^2 to fing the 4 solutions

OpenStudy (welshfella):

* typ then use y = x^2 to find the 4 solutions

OpenStudy (welshfella):

I can't give you the solutions Hint:- on factoring the equation:- + 400 = -16 * - 25

OpenStudy (welshfella):

y^2 - 41y + 400 = 0 (y - 16)(y - 25) = 0 now you can find the 2 values of y then find the values of x by plugging in these values of y into the equation y = x^2
