In the Arctic Ocean, there are very few large aquatic plants. Which of the following best explains why? Sea ice decreases the salinity of the water to a level not suitable for plants. Plants have a difficult time surviving due to long periods of darkness. Plants are unable to attach to the deep sea floor. Currents are too strong for plants to survive.
