OpenStudy (witty_roger):

y=5-n

OpenStudy (witty_roger):

see the sum of n and y is constant..which is 5 hence n+y = 5 i.e. y=n-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically you have to substitute n to on for your y equations. For example, you have n=3,4,5,6. You have to substitute 3 (or 4 or 5 or 6) in to one of you answers and see is you get either y=2,1,0,-1 (depending on which n your are substituting.)
