Which fraction is equivalent to 56%? A. 56/10 B. 5/6 C. 14/25 D. 7/8

jabez177 (jabez177):

Okay, imagine there is an imaginary Decimal right next to the Percentage sign. Move that decimal point 2 spaces over, what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it A?

jabez177 (jabez177):

You get .56 which is also \[\frac{ 56 }{ 100 }\]

jabez177 (jabez177):

So we have to simplify that.

jabez177 (jabez177):

Divide both the numerator and denominator by 4, you will get your answer.

OpenStudy (smd_kma):

14/25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so C?

jabez177 (jabez177):

Right you are! :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because the numerator / 4 is 14, and the denominator / 4 = 2.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!

jabez177 (jabez177):

My pleasure! :D

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):
