Based on the graph, what are the approximate solutions to the equation −3x + 8 = (0.25)^x? 1.9 and −2.6 8 and 2.6 1 and 2.6 −1.9 and 2.6
QUESTION 2: The total price of a shirt and a cap is $11. If the price of the shirt was doubled and the price of the cap was 3 times its original price, the total price of a shirt and a cap would be $25. What is the price of a shirt and a cap? A.) Price of a shirt is $9, and price of a cap is $2. B.) Price of a shirt is $10, and price of a cap is $1. C.)Price of a shirt is $8, and price of a cap is $3. D.) Price of a shirt is $7, and price of a cap is $4.
If you are doing algebra (because without calculus you can't approaximate it precisely), you just need to look at the x-coordinate of the intersections (which are the solutions) and tell me which answer choices are closest
Notice that the solution in the left half of the graph has an x-coordinate a little bit bigger than -2 (but not much bigger).
i was thinking B.. but probably wrong
