SOME ONE PLZ HELP ME ASAP!!!! Will medal! The graph below of f(x) =(0.5)^x is replaced by the graph of g(x) = (0.5)^x - k. If g(x) is obtained by shifting f(x) down by 3 units, the value of k is ........ I think it is -3 but idk plz help me or correct me!!!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (openstudier):

So, g(x) must be f(x) - 3 because it shifts down by 3 units. Since we know g(x) = f(x) - k, then k should be 3.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

it would be \(-3\) but for some reason they said \(f(x)-k\)

OpenStudy (openstudier):

I think you had the right idea, but it said f(x) - k, so k is just 3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 3 not -3 right?

OpenStudy (openstudier):

Yep!

Ok thank you both so much!!!!
