Why is Iceland’s population denser in the southern part of the country? A. It is the only place to get a job in Iceland’s fishing industry. B. It is the only part of the country that is habitable. C. Most people prefer to live in moderate climates. D. People don’t want to live near active volcanoes in the north.

A. It is the only place to get a job

OpenStudy (beamilkyway):

Well, if you consider that Iceland is in the northern hemisphere, and very high up, and that places like that are really, really cold, and that the more up north you are the colder it is, and that south is usually the most comfortable weather. What would make more sense/ Well, to live on the south. But is it because the milder weather is better or is it because the south is the only part of Iceland where the weather is good enough to live in?

OpenStudy (alika456):

the answer is a because you will get btter jobs its the only one
