What is Openstudy's attitude towards people who only accept help from those who just ask questions to get direct answers? Is the best thing to ignore them or to stop them as it will encourage other people to give direct answers? Just something I've been wondering.
Ignoring them will encourage others to give answers.
All we have to say that ^OpenStudy is not an answering service. We cannot help on tests. We only guide users. Helping on tests is against your school honors code and the OpenStudy anti-cheating policy. Asking and giving answers is against Code of Conduct This is \(\huge\color{blue}{Open}\color{red}{\underline{Study}}\) not \(\huge\color{blue}{Open}\color{red}{\underline{Cheat}}\) ^
I'm guessing first try to convince them that you cant do that and how they will learn a lot more without direct answers, but if they start using foul language and saying mean things then report them and tell a mod
\(\Huge\bf\color{red}{Say}\) \(\Huge\bf\color{red}{Repeat}\) \(\Huge\bf\color{red}{Report }\)
I wasn't referring to cheating, but rather just people who didn't want to do the work.
this is the emergency kit xD
So I gave the wrong answer?
Because I don't think I have the right to report them for being lazy and I don't have the time to wait for someone to give a direct answer that I can report. I just feel kinda lost since there is no direct action that I can take as a regular user to help stop that sort of attitude from being on the site. /:
Nope. They are violating rules by asking for answers
Do not hesitate to say, repeat and report.
Really? Ok, cause I thought that was just for tests.
No.
Anyone who is violating for more than 1st time gets reported.
Ok, thanks for clearing up my confusion.
That's what I used to do when I first joined the site but not anymore I want to learn! *superman pose*
Well learning is always a good thing (:
*superman pose still*
Thanks for the responses (:
