Hello friends, I need help with really simple math, I should of known it a long time ago, but please help. :)
What is a median and a mean?
Lol this probably looks so simple. I am in 10th grade in Algebra 2 but I am still confused with this. I simply forgot or I never learned. :)

Ok, but could you explain it to me? I need to learn, but thanks.
Have fun reading it's already explained ;) Unless @SolomonZelman wants to elaborate
lol
I don't realy think I can add something to that, unless I would spend a lot of time typing and explain how that relates to stats or something of this sort:)
Oh so you divide by the factor?
For which one?
Divide by the factor?
You divide by how many numbers there are-mean
Ohhhhh ok ok I get that one, now I will look at the other one.
Still confused with the median
median is the middle number...
\(\color{#000000 }{ \displaystyle {\rm Mean}=\frac{\rm the~sum~of~all~numbers}{\rm the~number~of~these~numbers} }\)
or the "amount" of these numbers
Oh wow lol that was like kindergarten math. I feel so dumb now! Thank you everyone!
No problem, we always forget some relevantly simple stuff.
but know this....to find the median of a set of numbers, you first have to put the numbers in order
Yea I understand
:)
good to hear :)
If I could I would give all of you medals! I can't so I will just fan all of you. :)
here is the tutorial i made: http://openstudy.com/updates/565939fde4b0b09ed5ddf1a0
