RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):
I can tag someone that can help you @Zale101
OpenStudy (texaschic101):
just make something up
OpenStudy (texaschic101):
I am just gonna make something up...
Luna Cab.....flat rate(per ride) $5.00......2.00 per mile
equation : y = 2x + 5.....slope intercept form....I chose this way because it is easier to find the slope and the y intercept.
The slope (2) is telling us it costs $2 per mile...and the y intercept (5) is telling us the cost of the ride.
Yellow Cab....per ride $4.00.....1.00 per mile
equation : y = 1x + 4....or just y = x + 4
slope (1) is telling us it cost $1 per mile
Now we make a table by subbing in numbers for x(the cost per mile) and solving for y (the total cost of the ride).
x .....0.......1.......2.......3........4........5
---------------------------------
y .....4.......5......6........7.......8.........9
I am not good with scatter plot...so you will need to get help on the last one.
