Check my answers?

Solve the radical equation, showing all steps leading to your answer. Then check your answer to determine if any of the solutions are extraneous. http://prntscr.com/9gbgn9

@Directrix

Directrix (directrix):

Correct. I got those answers. The root that did not work is the extraneous root.

OpenStudy (diana.xl):

yea tysm. can u check this one as well? http://prntscr.com/9gbit8

Directrix (directrix):

This is correct although I think a step is missing. Between the x^2 -5x = 0 and the x = 0, x = 5 steps, I would add info on how I got the x = 0 and x = 5. The flow would go like this: x^2 - 5x = 0 x(x-5) = 0 x = 0 or x - 5 = 0 x = 0 or x = 5 It is your decision as to whether that is necessary to show. As the work is, it is fairly obvious that x = 0 and x = 5.

oh ok. thnx
