I'm just looking for an opinion. In politics today, the focus may at times be on the good looks of the candidate or other aspects of his/her personality. Should the focus be on other things? If so, what do you think voters should consider when researching the candidates? What questions should they ask?

Well this isn't really a good place to have this conversation, but... Their policies would be a good start, looks and religion aside, you have to look at what they can do for the whole community to make it better. - How they deal with the economy (jobs/ careers included) - What are their plans for people who need help (mental/ vets/ and others) - Are they willing to listen to the people - Innovation, this is a huge one, with innovation comes a better future *cough* space exploration *cough* - Managing skills (Permanent solutions for problems) I can list off like a million things haha, but when it comes down to it, you must think for yourself and what you want to see happen. This means you should be able to vote for someone who can make sensible decisions.
