As you multiply by intervals of 10%
30% of 250 is 75 for number ten and knowing that 10% of 250 is 25 helps us know hat its going up by 25 every ten percent

to use what you were given 30% is 3 * 10% 10% = 25 and 30% is 3* 10% so 30% is 3 * 25 = 75
