?????????????????

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

all you have to do is multiply actoss

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

across*

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

3*5 = 15

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

4*9 = 36

OpenStudy (phi):

The simplest way to multiply fractions is multiply top times top and bottom times bottom but that does not get you the lowest form. Even better is to simplify the top and bottom first before multiplying

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

15=36 and then simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cross multiply: 3 * 9 = 4 * 5 Simplifying 3 * 9 = 4 * 5 Multiply 3 * 9 27 = 4 * 5 Multiply 4 * 5 27 = 20 Solving 27 = 20 Couldn't find a variable to solve for. This equation is invalid, the left and right sides are not equal, therefore there is no solution.

OpenStudy (phi):

notice you have a 3 "up top" and a 9 below I would divide both by 3 to get 1 up top and 3 down below \[ \frac{\cancel{3}1}{4}\cdot \frac{5}{\cancel{9}3} \] now multiply top times top and bottom times bottom

OpenStudy (alivejeremy):

yea
