The sea turtle at a zoo is 98 years older than the stingray is. Let s represent the stingray's age and t represent the turtle's age. How would you write an equation for that?
Okay. Lets note a few things.. t (sea turtle) = 98 older than stingray s = stingray
After noting these things we can then right an equation. We should be able to get \[s + 98 = t\] Unfortunately, this question is a bit unclear because it does not tell us what the equation is supposed to be finding, solving, etc. But.. when assuming that it is solving for t, which is the sea turtle's age.. that would be the equation. Do you agree? Or is it supposed to be finding something else?
