A coin is tossed 20 times. The outcomes H (for heads) and T (for tails) are recorded: H T H T T T T H H T T H H T T T H H H T What is the experimental probability of getting heads (H)? 0.45 0.5 0.65 0.8

you have 9/20 heads so using a calculator what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.45?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Right, so what hippo exactly did was count the amount of times they got heads and divided by the total amount of trials being 20. So there 9 heads in total and remembering that \[Probability = \frac{ \text{number of favourable outcomes} }{\text {number of possible outcomes} } \] we have 9/20

Thnx
