help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are there any you know are incorrect right off the bat?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't know

OpenStudy (beamilkyway):

A. is positive because when you use -(-) the negative becomes a positive, so it will actually be 7 1/2 + 3 1/4. B is positive, because when you take -3.6 from -2 you get 1.6. -> when you use -(-) the negative becomes a positive. C is negative because the result will be -2.4. D is negative because when you take a positive from a negative the answer keeps being a negative, so it will be -7.3. Got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it d and c

OpenStudy (beamilkyway):

well, actually, you want the ones that result in a positive, d and c are the ones that result in a negative. If you want to I can try and explain the why better, but the basic notion is what I put in the reply.
