Merry Christmas all!
You too, but i have christmas on 7th of january :)
What did everyone get?
Merry Christmas ☺
I got nothing
or want :|
And I'm proud of that
i got nothing. Christmas is when people believe that Christ was born, not when people get presents. i want nothing xD
well ya, but presents are kinda fun XD my parents are pastors. I get 3 presents like Jesus and one from "Santa" then a HUGE stocking...my family is wierd
Exactly @AlexandervonHumboldt2 The whole presents thing was created by man's own greed and selfishness
and santa has no relationship to Christmas :(
but ya, i get the whole rundown of "this is jesus's birthday you know. that is what we're celebrating" everyyear ;)
We actually don't know when jesus was born
yeah, but it is what we're celebrating. not when we celebrate it that matters
Which is weird, cause then why this specific date??????
LOL There are 2 dates when people BELIVE: 27 of dec and 7th of jan.
But not when it actually was
idk?? 25th btw not 27th
25 of dec or 7th of January
Well Jewish people say sometime during the middle of September
yep :P yeah, it's supposed to be sometime during the summer
Merry Christmas ^_^
I mean every holiday, except thanksgiving, has some weird and/ or unknown background.
yuuup
Mankind is stupid and does stuff for their own want without looking at facts. Like Halloween, based off of at some point people would dress up on a certain day to ward off evil spirits. WEIRD!!
it was actually based of a pagan holiday
off*
С Рождеством Христова!
uhhh wat?
Straddling the line between fall and winter, plenty and paucity, life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition. It is thought to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints and martyrs; the holiday, All Saints’ Day, incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows’ Eve and later Halloween. Over time, Halloween evolved into a secular, community-based event characterized by child-friendly activities such as trick-or-treating. In a number of countries around the world, as the days grow shorter and the nights get colder, people continue to usher in the winter season with gatherings, costumes and sweet treats. a paragraph from http://www.history.com/topics/halloween/history-of-halloween
hold on
the Celtic Festival of Samhain IS a pagan holiday...
