A team of glass blowers makes 24 vases per hour. At the end of each workday, they recycle their 11 least favorite vases made that day. Let h represent the number of hours in a workday and v represent the total number of vases kept from that day. Solve for v And how would you write an equation for this?
How many vases are made in one full work day? (Hint: multiply the given rate by the letter representing the number of hours in a workday.
Am not really sure but can i give the answer to the question
Thanks for the offer, but what's really important to me is that you learn how to solve problems of this type yourself. How many vases can be made in zero hours? How many in 1 hour? in 2 hours? What is the max number of hours worked in any one day? What is the max number of vases that can be made in one full day, based upon the above facts?
If a work day were 8 hours, they would make 8*24 vases for the day. v would be 8*24 - 11
Please reread the question carefully and then determine what symbol to use for the number of hours worked each day. 8 is a good example, but is not correct otherwise.
It was an example: not meant to be the full solution. I was warned not to give full solutions. The example is 100% correct.
