Poem I wrote

Every new day a new shade of grey
All the lessons learned and prices paid
What do they stand for, what more to say

We fight for what we think is right
But I don't feel like you're with me tonight

I give all I have and fight for my place
But the more I try the more I'm disgraced

I loved you so much I gave my life to you
Told you were so close but I've only felt far away
So lost I don't even know my name

It's been 3 years all I'm doing Is drifting away
Try to make myself move but I tried that yesterday
Thought of ending it all but then I'd unmake what was made
