Hello I did this MIT course: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-189-a-gentle-introduction-to-programming-using-python-january-iap-2011/ I have only read a little of the book;" Think Python: How to Think Like a Computer Scientist" but I think is very complet.
