Anyone who would like to teach me french!!! Please :) btw Bonjour!
Salut ! I cannot 'teach' you French, but I can answer specific questions about the language, its vocabulary and its grammar.
I would be happy to teach you French!
So, let's start with the basic greetings. `Bonjour` means `Hello` and is more formal. `Salut` (pronounced sa-loo) means `Hi` or `Bye`, which are both more informal.
@behappy
Now, let's try `Good morning`, `Good evening`, and `Good night`. Also, one more thing, `Bon` means `Good`. So, `Bonjour` not only means `Hello`, but also `Good morning` as `jour` means `day`. `Bonsoir` (pronounced bon-swar) means `Good evening` and `soir` means `evening` as you might conclude. Lastly, `Bon nuit` means `Good night` and `nuit` means `night`.
If you have any questions with that so far, please ask so here and tag me. If you are ready for more, also tag me and tell me you are ready for more. :)

Yeah.
hey @CuriousQuestions thank you so much!!! what i learned till now from this post : Salut = Hi/bye Bon = Good jour = Day soir = Evening (swar) nuit = Night my question is : Bonjour from above--> Good Day (also) Hello (also) good morning? what do we call morning in french? thank you so much Also thank you alika456 :)
Morning is matin; but you do not say "bon matin", at least in France. I think it might be used in Switzerland and in Quebec where people argue whether they can use it or not as it is grammatically correct French, but a loan translation of the English good morning.
