Trig Help Please!
If I wanted to find B in degrees in this equation (sin B= .9677), how would I do this using a ti-83 calculator? I know the answer, I just don't know how to calculate it.

So it is most like a MODE setting issue. Do you wan the answer in degrees or radians?
OpenStudy (meehan98):
Degrees
OpenStudy (meehan98):
B should be 75.4 degrees but I don't believe I use the DMS function
OpenStudy (retireed):
I have a TI-84+ but I thinks they are very similar.
Try this first....
push the 2nd button then SIN
then enter your number 0.9677 okay?
OpenStudy (meehan98):
Okay, I received 1.32

Your degree number for B is correct. And the answer you got is in radians, so we need to change your MODE.
OpenStudy (retireed):
Do you see a MODE button next to the 2ND button?
OpenStudy (meehan98):
Ah, I got It! Thank you!! I knew that at one point in time, just forgot!

Great! Have fun with school. It really beats working!
