so; i keep getting that warning that basically says don't give people the answer; but I didn't. I fully explained how to do the equation. I'm so confused when i did this. It would be really cool if they told you were you broke the rule? if would help me understand were it looks like i'm just giving the answer...personally at least

The thing is you give the answer and then explain it out goal is to make sure that the asker understands the concept. You need to make sure the asker actively participates.
