Why go back to Python 2.7 and why not move on to 3.5?

Python v3 isn't backward compatible with Python v2.x. Most of these classes are done in Python v2.x.

Also, Python 2.6 is supported with most, or even ALL of the libraries for Python you see on the Internet. I suggest you try both and determine which suits your taste, or which do you need the most. For example, if you plan to make games/apps/websites, then you might as well go back to Python 2.7
