\[\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }(x)=2\] I know the answer is 6. I just want to know how they got that.

You want to isolate that 'x.' Perhaps the easiest way of doing that would be to multiply both sides of this equation by 3. The 3 in the numerator and the 3 in the denominator will cancel out. Please try this. Share what you've done.
