Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Origins of replication are opened by __________________________. helicase Okazaki fragments DNA polymerase III ligase I think it's Okazaki fragments but I'm not sure.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Which one of the above four are enzymes?

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

ligase

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Ligase and Helicase both are enzymes. Ligase helps in joining of nucleotides while helicase helps in unwinding/opening DNA helix

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

So it would be helicase?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes.

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Thank you!
