why did black veil brides ever wrote the song pens and knives for?
they like pens and knives, maybe they were writing a letter to their mother while chopping onions
i dont know who the bvb r lol
wow ... look them up than
i have it The lyrics were written by Black Veil Brides vocalist Andy around the title "Knives and Pens" which, according to him, describes a choice: Knives — destruction (as in harming yourself), and Pens — creation (as in the choice he decided to make to begin writing music and make something of his life). Black Veil Brides is saying in this song that if you make good choices in life, you can rise above and conquer whatever troubles you may come across.[3]

because pens are good for writing, and knives are good for cutting turkey on thanksgiving.
(Knives - destruction and Pens - creation.) BvB is saying in this song that if you make good choices in life, you can rise above and conquer whatever troubles you may come across.
to really answr this question, they wrote to cut the crap about self harm. most bands before this songvwere implying harm, not actually writing a song based solely upon this idea
to my opinion i do agree with @foolofatook because that is true but i don't agree with one thing, they mostly did it to suck up because they ticked off a lot of their fan's.
Yeah, they wrote the song in terms of Andy's childhood and the bullying he went through. He took the decision of taking his solitude and making it into something beautiful, such as his songs and the forming and relationship of what is now Black Veil Brides. He chose between that and self harm, therefore naming the song Knives and Pens. It just seemed fit to answer the question for you lol.
