LAST PROBLEM FOR TODAY
Joselyn is a manager at a sign-painting company. She has two painters, Allen and Brianne. Allen can complete a large project in 16 hours. Brianne can complete the project in 18 hours. Joselyn wants to know how long it will take them to complete the project together. Write an equation and solve for the time it takes Allen and Brianne to complete the project together. Explain each step.
Sorry I am lagging . Allen can complete 1/16 of the work in an hour , Brainne can complete 1/18 of the work in an hour (1/16 + /18 )t = 1 t = 8.5 hour
wow thank you! can you give me the basic steps in the process? just tryin to get full credit
Trying to type bad damn mouse and network
no worries i have time
if allen can finish the whole job in 16 hours , then he can finish 1/16 of the job in 1 hour if brainne can finish the whole in 18 hour then he can finish 1/18 of the job in 1 hour Use this formula amount of work done per hour * time = number of jobs wt = j in your case t = 16 , j = 1 ( for allen) w = 1/16 for the other: t = 18, j = 1 18w = 1 w = 1/18 Use the same modified version: you want both of them to work ( same time) and do the same job w1 t + w2 t = j (w1 for allen, w2 for brainne) (1/16 + 1/18)t = 1 t = 8.5
Thank you I understand now.
Any time
i explained that previously
Yeah I actually just saw your response. I used it.
