in which way does an elevation drawing differ from a floor plan

I'd guess that an elevation drawing is like 3-dimensional and a floor is just flat 2d. It's more dependent on what they mean by this, do they mention anything else in the question? I'm not absolutely confident but that's what I'd say. Because an elevation (imagine elevator) and a floor drawing (like floor and doesn't move). Do you know what I'm saying?
