A tent has the shape of a triangular prism. The triangular end of the tent has a base that is 8 feet long and a height of 7 feet. The tent is 12 feet long from front to back. What is the volume of the tent?
@peachpi
The trick with volume of prism is to mulitply the area of the base by the depth of the prism. So find the area of the triangle first. \[A=\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }bh\]
what is the cubic feet
You have to find the area of the triangular base first
Can u teach me?
this is my last question and last time doing it
yeah. look at your question. Multiply the numbers they gave for base and height and then divide by 2. \[A=\frac{ bh }{ 2 }\]
8*7*12*2????
????
Use the formula I put up. ****This is an example.**** What is the area of a triangle with a base of 18 ft and a height of 23 ft? \[A=\frac{ bh }{ 2 }\] \[A=\frac{ 18 * 23 }{ 2 }=\frac{ 414 }{ 2 }=207\] ***** what are the base and height of your triangle?
So its 207?
I feel like you're not really reading everything I'm typing. That's an example. You need to pick out the relevant information from your problem and plug them into the formula
Its hard:( i got 3 min
You can solve this in 3 minutes. what are the base and height of your triangle?
is t he answer 28?
Yes 28 is the area of the triangle. To get the volume, multiply that by 12 (the length)
336?
right
So im done??! :D D;
yes
im checking!! :D brb to tell u
yayayyayayyayay!!! 80% Thank you!! :D::D:DD::D:D
